BIGGA have been a great help to me since the beginning of my career in greenkeeping – in various ways and means. I wanted to give something back and help encourage other greenkeepers to receive the support I have and to progress. So I have been involved with Bigga at different times and roles since 2016, and I still thoroughly enjoy it.

I’ve been a greenkeeper since 2007 and I’m currently in my first head greenkeeper role. I am passionate about seeing greenkeepers and our industry progress and receive the recognition we deserve.

Outside of greenkeeping I love running and following as much sport as possible!

I got into greenkeeping in 2002 following a discussion with my now father-in-law about the industry. Since then I have worked at various clubs around London and Surrey, as well as dipping my toe into being a groundsman.

I moved to the South West in 2021 and am currently the Head Greenkeeper at Worlebury GC in Weston-super-Mare.

BIGGA has done a lot for my career, from helping me gain a Jacobsen scholarship to completing my FdSc in Sports turf management through Myerscough.  I have also had the opportunity to be a Bernhards delegate to Orlando in 2017. I have also had the privilege to be included in The Open support team and BMW Wentworth support team on various occasions.
