Jim Croxton

Chief Executive Officer

Jim has been CEO of BIGGA since 2011 and is a passionate campaigner working on behalf of the UK's greenkeepers. Having grown up on a golf course, Jim has a lifelong passion for the golfing industry and he regularly speaks to the leaders at all of golf's governing bodies to promote greater respect and improving working conditions for golf's greenkeepers.

Membership Services Team

The membership services team is BIGGA's regional representatives, working on the road and regularly visiting members to offer help and advice, as well as organising educational activities throughout the year.

Scott Reeves

Head of Membership

Scott was formerly the course manager at Leyland Golf Club, where he spent 17 years. From 2019 to 2022 he was BIGGA Chairperson and he has volunteered at every level of the association. Scott became BIGGA's Head of Membership in June 2024.

Membership Services Manager - Scotland & Northern Ireland

John is membership services manager for Scotland & Northern Ireland, supporting BIGGA members in his daily duties and helping to ensure the effective operation of education and networking events within his region.

Steven Dudley-Brown

Membership Services Manager - Central England

Steve joined BIGGA in 2021 following a successful greenkeeping career. Joining the industry aged 16, he has worked across the UK, Australia and New Zealand and spent 13 years as a course manager. In his role at BIGGA, he works on behalf of members in the Central England Region, helping to provide learning opportunities and the various other incredible initiatives available to members.

Jenny Bledge

Workforce Project Manager

Jenny joined BIGGA in 2023 to lead on the workforce project to deliver First Green into the UK market and other initiatives to promote the greenkeeping profession. With a background in education and in the NHS, Jenny's knowledge and skills are perfectly suited to the role.

Niamh Jordan

Membership Executive

Niamh joined the team in September 2024, initially as a Membership Administrator. Since then, she's assumed the new role of Membership Executive and now aids in the organisation and delivery of BIGGA's various events and initiatives.

Roger Butler

Membership Services Manager - Northern

Having built significant experience within the golf industry in his role at the Professional Golfers' Association, Roger joined BIGGA in 2014 as membership services manager for Central England. Since January 2022 he moved to the Northern Region, where he works on behalf of BIGGA members to provide learning opportunities and various other membership initiatives.

Kris Parker

Membership Services Manager - South West & South Wales

Kris joined BIGGA in July 2023 after a number of years working as a sports apprenticeship officer and rugby coach. He has made over 100 Welsh Premiership appearances for Ebbw Vale RFC and is currently captain of Pontypridd RFC.

John Pearson

Membership Services Manager - South East

With outstanding experience in the golf industry, including in his role as assistant manager at West Surrey Golf Club, John works on behalf of BIGGA members in the South East Region, helping to provide learning opportunities and other incredible initiatives.

Elly Watson

Membership Administrator

Elly joined the membership team in April 2024, as is on hand to help with any questions and queries. Her favourite part of the job is speaking with the members and putting names to faces at BTME!

Learning and Development Team

Throughout the year BIGGA hosts a large number of exclusive career-defining opportunities for its members. Among these is Continue to Learn, the world's leading education programme for those working in sports turf management.

Deb Burnett

Learning and Development Manager

Deb is responsible for the organisation and operation of BIGGA’s learning opportunities throughout the year, including the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme, the Future Turf Managers Initiative (FTMI) and Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year, alongside countless other activities. She also is responsible for the production of the Continue to Learn programme and delivery each year.

Jo Millar

Learning & Development Coordinator

Jo joined BIGGA in 2021 primarily to support delivering BTME. Since then, most of Jo’s roles have been within the area of learning and development and she has recently taken up the role of Learning & Development Co-Ordinator. Her role is to organise and deliver (along with many others) the Continue to Learn program at BTME and various other member opportunities available to our members throughout the year.

Rob Phillips

Learning & Development Manager - Technical

Rob is responsible for delivering the requirements of The GTC under their service level agreement with BIGGA. Rob was previously head of land-based apprenticeships at Berkshire College of Agriculture and spent 30 years as a greenkeeper, including 21 years as course manager at Sandy Lodge Golf Club in Middlesex.

Tanya Djalili

Learning & Development Administrator

Tanya works in the Learning and Development department, managing CPD, Master Greenkeeper requests and our lending library to enable members to access the resources and support needed. She works in collaboration with the Greenkeepers Training Committee and Approved Training Providers to promote high standards in greenkeeping apprenticeships, qualifications and training courses.

Operations Team

Commercial and Communications

The activities of BIGGA are supported by our commercial partners, including those who formalise their relationship with BIGGA as Premium Partners, Partners, Supporters and Regional Patrons. The Commercial and Communications team is also responsible for organising the exhibitors who participate in the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) each January and for BIGGA's various printed publications, the BIGGA website and the BIGGA app.

Lauren Frazer

Head of Commercial and Marketing

As the lead of the Commercial, Marketing and Communications Department, Lauren has a wealth of knowledge both of the industry and diverse routes to market available to companies. She is also a graduate from the ‘Women in Golf’ Leadership programme and ‘CMI Advanced Sales and Leadership’ programme.

A regular presence at trade shows worldwide, Lauren values building strong relationships and providing support to both existing and prospective clients. She is the go-to contact for discussing commercial opportunities to showcase your products, BIGGA partnerships, a variety of sponsorship options across BIGGA, and exhibiting at BTME.

Libbie Waddleton

Design and Brand Executive

If you’ve seen something designed by BIGGA recently, whether it's our annual handbook, an information poster or signage at BTME, the chances are it was created by Libbie. With a keen eye for detail, Libbie is responsible for the consistent and professional image that is portrayed by BIGGA on a daily basis.

Tara Richardson

Commercial Administrator

Tara joined the team in August 2023, initially as a part of BIGGA's membership team. Since then, she's shifted to supporting the association's commercial operations as an administrator.

Working closely with Gavin Rees, Tara's main focus lies with recruitment and supporting preparations for BTME.

Lorna Taylor

Content and Communications

Lorna plays an important role in the creation of Greenkeeper International, working with various contributors to produce our member news pages and other aspects of the magazine each month. She is also a key contact with regards BIGGA's recruitment service, helping advertisers through that journey and sharing these opportunities with BIGGA members.

Gavin Rees

Commercial Manager

Gavin joined BIGGA from outside the industry, but a background in B2B client services has helped facilitate a growth in partner and supporter agreements.

Always keeping abreast of the industry and seasonal factors, Gavin regularly liaises with companies to discuss the time-specific opportunities available to them.

Whether you are a long standing customer or it’s a first time enquiry, happy to talk you through all of the advertising options and the education supporter package.

Zoe Wright

Marketing and Social Media Executive

Always on the look-out for the latest trending topic, Zoe plays a key role in the conversations that BIGGA has with its members and the wider community as she oversees all of BIGGA’s social media activities. She is also helping to redevelop BIGGA’s marketing offering, to ensure that everyone is aware of the great benefits that come with BIGGA membership and plays a role in BIGGA’s recruitment service.
