Membership Categories and Subscriptions

Full Member

Criteria

Any person employed as a keeping of the green on a golfing establishment who has obtained a minimum qualification which from time to time shall be recommended by the Board of Management or has a minimum of three years continuous relevant experience.

Category 1A – £125.00

Greenkeeper in a Managerial Role i.e. Course Manager/Head Greenkeeper .

Category 1B – £75.00

All other greenkeeping employees who have gained a minimum qualification or who hold a minimum of three years continous relevant experience.

Associate Member

Criteria

Any person employed as a keeper of the green on a golfing establishment who has NOT obtained a minimum qualification or has a minimum of three years continuous relevant experience.

Category 2A – £55.00

Greenkeeper aged 21 and over (no minimum qualification, less than three years continuous experience)

Category 2B – £27.50

Greenkeeper aged 20 years and under (no minimum qualification, less than three years continuous experience).

International Member

Criteria

Any person employed in the keeping of the green on a golfing establishment outside the UK and is a member of his/her own international association - £90.00.

Affiliate Member

Criteria

Any person who does not come within the provisions of the categories above - £85.00 (for those wishing to join four or more Affiliate Members at the same company/employer please contact the BIGGA Membership Department).

Student Member

Criteria

Any person studying FULL-TIME towards an appropriate qualification in turf management - £25.00

Life Member

Criteria

At the discretion of the Board of Management any FULL Member recognized as having contributed in an outstanding manner to the Association or profession.

Retired Member

Criteria

Any FULL Member who has been a member for a minimum of 5 consecutive years and has retired from work.

Honorary Member

Criteria

At the discretion of the Board of Management any persons recognized as having contributed in an outstanding manner to the Association or profession.
