Continue to Learn 2024
BOOKINGS OPEN 1 OCTOBER 2026
Continue to Learn
At BIGGA we believe that educated greenkeepers make the world a better place for everyone associated with golf.
Armed with the knowledge that comes through professional development, greenkeepers are able to produce better standards of course presentation. In addition, they're better able to handle other matters such as staff management, budgeting and countless other topics that all contribute to a more positive working environment. Professional development also plays a key role in helping our members achieve their long-term career ambitions.
Continue to Learn is a key part of that. Continue to Learn is BIGGA's world-renowned education conference, providing the equivalent of two hours-worth of education for every golf club in the country. That makes it among the most influential and important annual events in the golf and greenkeeping calendar.
The programme is divided into three parts: Conference, Classes and Seminars.
Conference
The conference takes place over two days. With day one taking place at The DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel and Spa. Spanning two separate areas, the Conference features a wide choice of sessions. By purchasing a Conference ticket, you will have free rein to wander between the venues and select an education programme that's bespoke to your requirements.
Day two is being held within The Queen's Suite within Harrogate Convention Centre and will be themed around technology and AI.
You can purchase one or two day tickets for the Conference.
Classes
Classes may be half a day, a full day or even two days in duration, but they are learning opportunities based around a specific area of knowledge that you would like to improve upon. In 2027, the classes will be taking place in The Queen's Suite and also The Crowne Plaza Hotel, adjacent to Harrogate Convention Centre.
Topics include: irrigation; renovation; strategic planning; cutting units; managing stress; managing teams; water efficiency; conflict resolution; recruitment; supervisory skills; fertiliser plans; turf machinery maintenance; soil analysis; reading trial data; tree surveying; building a budget; positive thinking; identifying grass species; motivation; utilising data; team building and many more.
Seminars
Take place in The Queen's Suite, these sessions are an opportunity to gain knowledge without leaving the exhibition floor.
The free-to-attend seminars are hosted by exhibitors at BTME.
Seminars will also take place in The R&A Clubhouse in Hall 3, headphones will be provided to all attendees so you don't miss anything.
