For more than 30 years BIGGA has been hosting exhibitions that feature the most innovative and exciting product launches. We work closely with the biggest names in the turf industry to make sure that our members have access to the latest equipment and machinery, which has contributed to the reputation of UK greenkeepers as among the most talented and passionate golf course managers in the world.

Help and advice to develop your career

Education providers and colleges will be present at the exhibition to talk to you about learning opportunities for yourself and your team. They will be on hand to discuss apprentice opportunities, funding and provide you with guidance to help your team stay ahead of the game. There will also be a BIGGA Stand where our Learning and Development team will be available to discuss the incredible career development opportunities that come with being a member of BIGGA, Europe’s largest membership association for golf greenkeepers.

Catch up with old friends

The COVID-19 pandemic will have kept us all separate for 18 months when Festival of Turf takes place as we all did our bit to protect ourselves and key workers from the deadly virus. All indications suggest that by June there’ll be the opportunity for gatherings to take place once again and so BIGGA has provided this platform for our members, other turf professionals and those within the industry to meet up face-to-face, rekindle old friendships and reflect on what’s been a difficult time for everyone. Festival of Turf will see a return to that good old-fashioned sense of community that has been missing ever since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Festival of Turf - Q&A for visitors

Q. What is the Festival of Turf?

A: Following a turbulent year coping with the coronavirus pandemic, BIGGA recognised the need for the sports and turf industry to come together and interact in person. Building on 30 years’ experience hosting the hugely-successful BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME), the COVID-safe outdoor Festival of Turf was born.

Q: Who will be exhibiting at Festival of Turf?

A: It’s going to the BTME experience with a difference. Over 100 companies from across the UK will be in attendance to showcase the huge array of new and innovative products and services you in the industry need every year. Q: Is it an indoor or outdoor exhibition?

A: Both indoor and outdoor stand locations are available to exhibitors. We are continually monitoring government guidelines on the hosting of exhibitions and this could be subject to change if the exit out of lockdown changes.

Q: What social events are taking place?

A: Between 4 - 6.30pm Wednesday afternoon, we’ll be hosting a social event, to mark everything we’ve been through over the past year and to give attendees an opportunity to relax together. Trading can still take place but there will be live music on stage and the food and drink outlets will remain open.

Q: Is there a cost to attend the Wednesday afternoon social event?

A: No, your free ticket to the exhibition will include the social event in the afternoon. The only costs incurred will be for any food and drink purchased.

Q: How do I book a free ticket?

A:        

  • Look out for your invite from BIGGA to confirm ticket registration is open. The Festival is pre registration only due to minimising contact of people on the event days.
  • Visit the Register Now section of the Festival of Turf website and complete the online visitor registration form
  • Check your emails and print out your e-ticket with unique visitor barcode. Keep this safe as you will need to bring this with you.
  • If you are planning on staying overnight, visit MICE Concierge for room availability and prices and to book online.

Q: How much do tickets cost?

A: Entry is free to all visitors but you must register in advance of the exhibition due to adhering with minimising unnecessary contact on the day.

Q: When will I receive my ticket?

A: You will be email an e-ticket with your own unique barcode that confirms your ticket to the event. Please print this out and bring it with you

Q: When do I need to book my ticket by?

A: Depending on COVID-19 guidelines, we may have to introduce a pre-registration deadline, but this will be reviewed at a later date.
