5K Syngenta Early Bird Run

Start your BTME day the best way possible – with fresh air, movement, and a great cause. The Syngenta 5K Early Bird Run returns on Wednesday 21 January 2026, bringing the turf industry together to raise vital funds for the BIGGA Greenkeepers Benevolent Fund.

Starting at 6.30am from the Ripon Road entrance of Harrogate Convention Centre, the 5K route will take runners through Harrogate town, organised and managed by BIGGA.

For every runner who takes part, Syngenta will donate £10 to the Fund, helping support greenkeepers facing financial hardship. Previous events have raised over £4,750, and we’re aiming to contribute up to £1,000 more in 2026.

Whether you’re running for fitness, mental wellbeing, or camaraderie, this is one BTME tradition not to miss.
