Assistant Greenkeeper (Full-Time)

Moor Allerton Golf Club is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Greenkeeper to join our established and progressive Greens Team.
As a well-respected members’ club, we pride ourselves on delivering high standards of course presentation and playability throughout the year. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
Working closely with the Head Greenkeeper and wider team, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance and development.

Daily course set up and preparation

Operation and maintenance of a wide range of turf machinery

Application of fertilisers and plant protection products (where qualified)

Irrigation management and course improvement projects

Contributing to the continued high standards of course presentation

Carrying out all renovation and maintenance tasks such as aeration, topdressing and seeding
-
Working daily with USGA Greens and contributing to an ongoing bunker redevelopment project
The Candidate:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about greenkeeping and committed to producing high-quality playing surfaces, while having a good understanding of the game of golf.

Have or working towards NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Sports Turf / Greenkeeping

Previous experience within a golf course environment

A strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence

NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management

PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates

Chainsaw certification

Full-time, permanent position working

Hours of Work:
The role will involve early morning starts, with weekend work on a rota basis.
