Turf nutrition masterclass
Updating and enhancing your knowledge of how nutrition supports healthy turf and high-quality playing surfaces will improve your golf course management. This half-day class will provide technical detail on all aspects of turf nutrition, drawing on the latest published research and industry information to build upon your existing knowledge and understanding. There will be a focus on the scientific evidence behind turfgrass growth and development, and on precisely what is required from a nutritional programme to produce a high-quality surface and a healthy plant.

- Describe the turfgrass/rootzone/playing surface relationship and how it is influenced by nutritional inputs
- Contrast different nitrogen inputs for turf grass health and sustainability

Henry Bechelet
Technical Sales Manager UK & Ireland
Henry Bechelet is the Technical Manager for ICL Growing Solutions Turf and Landscape Division in the UK & Ireland. With over 35 years in the turf industry, Henry began his career training as an agricultural agronomist before moving into turfgrass agronomy in the early 1990s. He has split his career between independent consultancy and commercial roles, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the industry's challenges and opportunities. Known for his progressive outlook and engaging presentation style, Henry now leads the technical direction of ICL’s turf division, with a focus on sustainable product development, industry training, and supporting sports turf professionals.
Dr Simon Watson
Senior Scientist
Simon holds a PhD in Agriculture from the University of Reading and has built an international career spanning research, technical support, and applied agronomy. He has held senior positions with Syngenta and The R&A, where he played a key role in product development while championing sustainable turf management and environmental best practices. Widely recognised for his expertise in agronomy, Simon is particularly respected for his contributions to sports turf management and the application of science-based solutions to improve turf performance and sustainability.
