Learn how accurate calibration can save you money and protect the environment. Nigel and Richard will be comparing and contrasting calibration methods to discover which is correct for you. They will demonstrate how the collection of data will enable accurate calibration of your applicator, and how accurate calibration can encourage better chemical uptake by the plants.

Freelance Instructor / Assessor

 

I was in greenkeeping/greenkeeper for 20 years, 5 years as an assistant and 15 years as head greenkeeper at a golf course in Leicestershire. Became chairman of BIGGA in2002 and am now a freelance instructor and assessor for city and guilds in mowers, brush cutters and hedge trimmers along with several pesticide disciplines Pa1, Pa2 and Pa6. Latterly I was president of the Leicestershire and Rutland golf union from 2019 to 2021 following many years representing the union as a junior and senior 2nd team player.

Freelance instructor/Assessor

I have been involved in agriculture for many years on the family farm. I have been a freelance instructor and assessor for city and guilds and Lantra awards for over 25 years delivering courses on pesticides such as Pa1(safe use of pesticides) ,Pa2a,(boom sprayers) and Pa6a (handheld). I have also been an auditor for the National sprayer testing scheme for over 20 years and more recently started running my own training and assessment business in North Shropshire, Sanderson Training.
