Head Greenkeeper
Halifax West End Golf Club is seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Head Greenkeeper to lead the care, presentation, and ongoing development of our golf course.
Salary
Salary is Pro-Rata relative to flexible working hours and will be commensurate with industry experience (£35,000 - £50,000 per annum).
About the Role
This is a key leadership position for someone with excellent organisational skills and a passion for delivering outstanding playing conditions. The management committee is happy to work with a fully experienced greenkeeper or an aspiring greenkeeper, with strong turf management knowledge and a passion for self-improvement.
As Head Greenkeeper, you will:
- Lead and manage all aspects of course maintenance and presentation
- Oversee and support the greenkeeping team
- Plan and implement turf management programmes to the highest standards
- Manage machinery, irrigation, and maintenance schedules
- Work closely with the management committee to enhance the overall golfing experience
