Royal Ostend Golf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Equipment Manager to join our greenkeeping team. Situated on the Belgian coast, Royal Ostend is a traditional links course maintained to a high standard in a demanding seaside environment.

The club is about to enter an exciting new phase, with a long-term course masterplan now underway focused on the continued evolution and improvement of the golf course and practice facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled turf equipment professional seeking a long-term position within a progressive and ambitious club environment, with the opportunity to play an important role in the future development of the maintenance operation and workshop facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance and continual improvement of the club’s machinery fleet and workshop operation, working closely with the Superintendent and greenkeeping team to support the delivery of high-quality playing conditions throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full maintenance and repair of the golf course machinery fleet
  • Planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
  • Setup, grinding and adjustment of cutting units
  • Maintaining high workshop organisation and safety standards
  • Management of parts inventory and service records
  • Assisting with fleet planning and machinery replacement programmes
Candidate Profile
 
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Previous experience working with golf course, turfcare or agricultural machinery
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
  • The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • A proactive attitude and high attention to detail
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Valid driving licence
