Garforth Golf Club is a well-established and highly regarded course in West Yorkshire, originally designed by renowned golf course architect Alister MacKenzie, whose portfolio includes some of the world’s most celebrated courses. Known for its excellent playing surfaces and welcoming atmosphere, we are seeking passionate, motivated, and skilled individuals to join our greenkeeping team as we continue to enhance and maintain the high standards of our course.

Assist the Head Greenkeeper in the day-to-day management of the course

Lead and motivate the greenkeeping team in the Head Greenkeeper’s absence

Oversee maintenance operations including mowing, irrigation, and course setup

Ensure high presentation standards are consistently achieved

Support planning and implementation of course improvement projects requirements

Proven experience in a senior greenkeeping role

Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Sports Turf Management or equivalent)

PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

A proactive and professional approach

Carry out routine maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, bunker maintenance, and course setup

Assist with general course improvements and projects

Maintain machinery and equipment to a high standard

Work as part of a team to ensure the course is presented to the highest quality requirements

NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent)

Previous experience in a greenkeeping role preferred
