Responsible for : Assistant Greenkeepers
 
Role Objective: To constantly strive to improve the golfing experience for our members and visibilities by displaying our core values here at Broadstone – Sustainability, Integrity, Passion & Community.
 
 
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at this Top 100 Course for a passionate, driven individual to become our next Deputy Course Manager.
 
In summer 2026 Broadstone Golf Club will has been selected to host The English Senior Men’s Championships. Broadstone is focused on elevating the condition of our playing surfaces with a sustainable approach, which is led by our Course Manager and agronomist from the R&A.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is driven to become a future Course Manager. The Club will support the successful candidate on their educational pathway, providing the ideal platform for achieving success.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • To Deputise for the Course Manager when required
  • To oversee the Health & Safety management for the Greenkeeping team
  • To Promote a culture of constant improvement through the team, ensuring every task is completed in line with our mission statement
  • An ability to project manage a team to complete a task, delivering it to the highest standard, within budget and on time
  • To be a highly competent greenkeeper in all areas and be able to carry out all tasks to a high standard
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Sports Turf Management
  • Spraying certificates PA1, PA2, PA6a
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry
  • Chainsaw Certificates CS30/CS31
  • Strong knowledge of turfgrass machinery
  • Experience of previously managing staff
  • Strong understanding of irrigation systems
  • Tournament experience
  • Possess a growth mindset
