We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Greenkeeper to join our experienced course maintenance team.

The Role
Working as part of the greenkeeping team, the successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of all areas of the golf course, helping to ensure that our 27 holes are maintained and presented to a consistently high standard.

The role will include:

•    Bunker and surrounding area maintenance
•    Use and routine care of modern turf maintenance machinery
•    Assisting with seasonal course maintenance and renovation work
•    Drainage, aeration, topdressing and other turf management practices
•    General grounds maintenance and course presentation
•    Working safely and efficiently as part of a small, experienced team
•    Supporting improvement projects across the golf courses

You should have:
•    A practical understanding of golf course maintenance
•    Experience operating and maintaining turf machinery
•    A good work ethic and positive attitude
•    The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

•    A willingness to learn new skills and develop your knowledge

SVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf or Greenkeeping would be desirable. Chainsaw qualifications and PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates would also be advantageous, although these are not essential.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced greenkeeping team and gain experience across a wide range of modern turf management and course maintenance practices.
