Exciting Opportunity for a Assistant Green Keeper to join and become a member of our team at Ashford Manor Golf Club.

This role provides a tremendous opportunity for an ambitious and committed individual who is looking to progress their career in the green keeping industry. To work within the team completing routine tasks and projects to maintain the golf course to a high standard as expected by the members and guests of Ashford Manor Golf Club.

We require an experienced Greenkeeper to join the team at Ashford Manor, located in Middlesex. We are a private member 18-hole Golf Club with around 750 members. You will be involved in the daily presentation of the course, project work and all other aspects of turf maintenance.

 

The ideal candidate will need to possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • The ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to work as early starts and weekend work is required
  • Reliable and hardworking with excellent presentation skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude with good time management and communication skills.
  • Must be able to get to work on time, without relying on public transport or others.
  • Good work ethic.
Essential qualities include:
  • 2 years minimum greenkeeping experience. (desirable 3 or more years
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Amenity Sportsturf or equivalent. (preferred, not essential)
  • Able to commute to Ashford in Middlesex, and get to work for 6am in the summer
Preferred but not essential qualities include:
  • PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates. (desirable)
  • Chainsaw certificates. (desirable)
  • Good golfing knowledge
  • Desire to progress in industry
