Members of the BIGGA Volunteer Support Team had a fantastic time at Carnoustie Golf Links, getting to see The Open up close as they undertook bunker raking duties for each match.
Carnoustie's Sandy Reid, Craig Boath and the entire greenkeeping team did an incredible job getting the course in such fantastic condition despite the heatwave making things tricky.
In the end it was Francesco Molinari who was proclaimed Championship Golfer of the Year after an incredible tournament that saw Rory McIlroy mount his first credible challenge in some time, while Tiger Woods captured the imagination and proved he can still compete at the top.
Here's some of the best social media from BIGGA members who volunteered at the 147th Open Championship.

As did Stuart Broom of Honiton:
A place on @TheOpen #BIGGASupportTeam really does give some incredible opportunities for BIGGA members who are invited to help out at the event, such as @Broomstu who got to meet @TigerWoods after his round today! Great work Stuart! #theopen #greenkeeping pic.twitter.com/L4V1FKvLii

While Richard Ponsford of The Bristol summed things up nicely:
Would just like to thank @BIGGALtd for another great @TheOpen experience. Nice to meet so many great guys & girls. Hopefully get to have that experience again one day. Now for the long drive back to @BristolGC @CrownGolf. pic.twitter.com/U3EQhJ28TQ
