Members of the BIGGA Volunteer Support Team had a fantastic time at Carnoustie Golf Links, getting to see The Open up close as they undertook bunker raking duties for each match.

Carnoustie's Sandy Reid, Craig Boath and the entire greenkeeping team did an incredible job getting the course in such fantastic condition despite the heatwave making things tricky.

In the end it was Francesco Molinari who was proclaimed Championship Golfer of the Year after an incredible tournament that saw Rory McIlroy mount his first credible challenge in some time, while Tiger Woods captured the imagination and proved he can still compete at the top.
