It’s estimated that the coronavirus crisis has seen British employers plan more than 300,000 redundancies during June and July as the economic impact of the pandemic hit hard.

Losing your job is hard to deal with and when things are as uncertain as they are at the moment, it can be a very worrying time. If you’re one of the unfortunate ones and now find yourself looking for work, BIGGA is here to help.

We’ve launched an employment hub on our website where you can advertise that you are available to work. Golf clubs in your area that have positions available – whether short term or permanent – will be able to contact us and we’ll pass you their details.

This service is completely anonymous and free to BIGGA members. It’s our way of helping you get back on the right track.

Head to the Careers section of the BIGGA website and click the Available for Work tab to find out more.

Other help is available from BIGGA

If you’re a BIGGA member and you are due to renew your membership but have lost your job, you can apply for a discounted unattached membership. To qualify you must be seeking work and not doing any paid work in the industry. Email elaine@bigga.co.uk to find out more.

You can also go to the help with your job application page of our website which includes information on:

  • Creating a CV
  • Doing well at your interview
