Take part in the leatherjacket/chafer grub survey

5 July 2021 Announcement
A survey has been produced by ICL in response to the apparent increase in reports of leatherjacket and chafer grub infestations seen within the amateur and professional turf industries in recent years. Leatherjacket 2.jpg

The apparent increase in populations of leatherjackets and chafer grubs often poses a real challenge for turf managers in terms of controlling the pests to minimise damage. There are currently a limited number of approved products available to control the problem and with limited label restrictions for certain sectors.

In order to ascertain the size and severity of the issue, ICL is seeking to poll a large number of turf managers from a broad cross section of the industry in order to gain a representative view of the situation. While there is no guarantee that new control products will become available to the market, ICL believes that proactive data gathering is needed to give all sectors a voice and ensure we can evidence the issues each sector is facing.

We hope you can find the time to take part and contribute to the data before the closing date of 31 July 2021. The survey takes 2 minutes to undertake and your responses and identity are anonymous.

Take part here.
