This one-day class will take a holistic look at the areas to be considered when looking at renovating and restoring your golf course. From tips and techniques on how design can improve your existing course and practice facilities, to getting started and completing the project. Find out how to achieve successful outcomes and explore ways to use your facility to broaden your target market whilst providing enhanced income streams for the club.

Being Danish and influenced by great Danish design and architecture for all his life Caspar uses this approach when designing golf courses. Designing with clean lines and an emphasis on function and beautiful aesthetics creates original golf courses that stand out in the players mind and at the same time remain economical in construction and maintenance.

Caspar was associated with Hawtree Ltd. for more than 15 years and have studied and worked on some of the best courses in the world of golf. He has experience with all types of golf course projects from upgrading low budget courses to working with esteemed clients such as Ballybunion, Portmarnock, Lahinch, Royal Aberdeen and Donald Trump on his new links course in Scotland.

Golf Course Architect

Having begun his career in Golf working as a greenkeeper in Sussex Paul’s career has evolved and he is now an experienced golf course architect working as a partner in KimberGlen a firm of architects based in Scotland. He has been instrumental in the creation of many of the best courses built in the UK in the last 20 years. The Castle Course, Machrihanish Dunes and Dumbarnie were all overseen by Paul and his team.

As well as new courses Paul consults to over 30 golf courses, creating long term renovation plans, course appraisals and overseeing construction work. The companies impressive client list includes the R & A and St Andrews Links trust as well as many clubs that host R & A events.

While KimberGlen do specialise in Links and Heathland courses they also have some parkland courses in their portfolio.

Their greenkeeping background and background practical approach combined with experience in designing and managing construction projects on existing courses, minimises disruption and helps to get the best results for all involved in a renovation project.
