Talking Shop: The Open

Synopsis: During what should have been The Open week, Karl Hansell will be in conversation with Paul Larsen, course manager at Royal St Georges Golf Club, discussing the postponement of The Open 2020. Joining them will be Craig Boath, who has extensive experience of hosting major championships in his role at Carnoustie, where he is links superintendent.

Paul Larsen is the course manager at Royal St Georges Golf Club in Kent. The Open has been held at Royal St Georges 14 times since it became the first course outside of Scotland to host the tournament in 1894.

Craig Boath is the Links Superintendent at Carnoustie Golf Links. Carnoustie first hosted The Open in 1931and has hosted the tournament a total of seven times in its history.
