With a proud history of significant investment both on and off the course, we are committed to continual improvement and excellence. Due to the upcoming retirement of our long-standing Course Manager, an exciting opportunity has arisen and we are on the lookout for a passionate, professional and talented individual to lead and develop our dedicated greenkeeping team whilst delivering year-on-year enhancements to the golf course.
The Role:
The Course Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the golf course and its surrounding grounds. You will lead a talented team, oversee project delivery and ensure that Badgemore Park offers top-quality playing surfaces year-round.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate and develop the greenkeeping team to deliver outstanding course conditions

Manage and deliver all aspects of the 5-year course improvement plan, including working with contractors and consultants where necessary

Develop and implement maintenance programmes for turf care, irrigation, machinery and course presentation

Maintain and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources

Regularly assess and report on course conditions to the Senior Management Team

Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety, environmental and legal standards

Maintain a visible and approachable presence with members and guests, promoting a culture of excellence and service

Identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability and development

Collaborate closely with the wider club management team to enhance the overall member and guest experience
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Proven experience in a senior greenkeeping or course management role
-
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
-
Highly skilled in agronomy, course set-up, turf management and irrigation systems
-
Strong project management skills, with experience delivering improvement projects on time and within budget
-
A genuine passion for golf and an understanding of player expectations

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

Knowledge of modern industry practices, including sustainable and environmentally friendly course management

Certified to operate chainsaws and possess the relevant spraying qualifications
-
Flexible, driven and committed to delivering year-on-year enhancements
