Assistant Greenkeeper
Rochdale Golf Club are looking to recruit a motivated and ambitious greenkeeper to join their hard-working team and assist them in maintaining the very popular golf course.
Rochdale Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course, with practice facilities and modern clubhouse. The golf course is regarded as one of the best in the area, hosting many tournaments throughout the year including their very own Pro-Am event.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Cutting tees, greens, fairways, rough and semi rough
- Raking and maintaining bunkers
- Course setup, including brushing greens, changing holes, moving tee markers and ensuring all hazards and OOB boundaries are in order
- Top dressing, overseeding and applying fertiliser
- Maintain machinery
- Flymo and strimming
- Course renovation work and aeration over the close season, using various machinery including tractors.
The following qualifications are essential:
- NVQ level 2 or 3
- PA1, 2 & 6
The following is desirable but not essential:
- Chainsaw license
The position is full time based on 40 hours per week, plus overtime at weekends on a rota basis.
