Ross McMurray is a golf course designer with European Golf Design and a Past-President of the EIGCA. A graduate in Landscape Design at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Ross began his career in 1988 with the golf course architectural practice of Cotton, Pennink and Partners. The company became European Golf Design in 1992.

Ross has designed golf courses throughout Europe and was responsible for the Twenty Ten Course at Celtic Manor Resort, Wales, created especially for the 2010 Ryder Cup. In the U.K. he was lead designer on The Marquess Course at Woburn Golf & Country Club and in 2019 Ross completed an 18 hole course and 6 hole academy course for Royal Norwich Golf Club which has relocated to a new site.
