Continue to Learn Extra is taking a summer break
The current series of Continue to Learn Extra webinars will come to an end on Tuesday 4 August with the season finale The Greenkeeper and Golf Course 2030 presented by Steve Isaac of The R&A and Dr Paul Miller, a senior lecturer in golf course management, SRUC.
The webinar series was launched at the onset of the COVID-19 crisis as a means for BIGGA members to continue their professional development despite the cancellation of education events. The events have proved incredibly popular and are set to become a permanent fixture of BIGGA’s educational offering.
The webinar series will return at 4pm on Tuesday 8 September with Talking Shop – The European Tour UK Swing Tournaments.
Taking part in the webinar will be:
- Eddie Adams, Director of Agronomy at the European Tour
- Angus MacLeod, Director of Golf Courses and Estates at The Belfry
- Jim McKenzie MBE, Director of Golf Courses and Estates Management at Celtic Manor.
They will discuss the challenges faced at each of their venues to deliver tournament standards for the ‘UK Swing’ in these unusual circumstances.
The Continue to Learn Extra webinars are free of charge and can be viewed later by BIGGA members in the Members Portal of our website. BIGGA is also trialling a free registration feature that will enable us to send reminders leading up to events as well as short feedback surveys and an automatic certificate of attendance. Please bear with us while this is developed.
Each of the previous 29 webinars are available to watch in the Resource Library in the members area of the BIGGA website, with Continuing Professional Development credits available for those who watch each video.
For information about forthcoming webinars and other BIGGA events please visit the What’s On page of the BIGGA website.
We wish you all a safe and enjoyable summer and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Continue to Learn Extra webinars on 8 September 2020.
