Western Gailes - Qualified Greenkeeper
A traditional members Club established in 1897 and regularly ranked amongst the top 40 courses in the UK and Ireland Western Gailes Golf Club is looking to recruit a suitably qualified greenkeeper to join the agronomy team on a full-time basis.
A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to further their career in greenkeeping. Working under the Course Manager and his Deputy, the role will allow the successful candidate to contribute significantly to the maintenance and presentation of a championship standard links golf course for both members and visitor golfers.

A minimum of four years sports turf experience

Level 2/3 certification in sports turf

High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills

A good knowledge of health + safety and safe working practices

A good understanding of equipment maintenance and machinery setup

An understanding of irrigation systems, including maintenance and repair
-
PA1, 2 and 6 (or willing to complete immediately)

Full UK driving licence

The ability to work to a weekend rota

Opportunities for further training and development

BIGGA Membership (on completion of a probationary period)

Playing access to golf course (at Secretary / Manager discretion)

Volunteering at championship events is encouraged
