Ganton Golf Club, North Yorkshire, is looking to recruit a Course Manager. The Club has a rich Championship history, including hosting Ryder, Walker & Curtis Cups, and The Amateur Championship. The Club continues to attract high profile events including The Brabazon Trophy and the R&A Women and Girls Home Internationals which will both be staged in 2021.
This is a full-time position, leading a team of 8 experienced staff, and taking responsibility for managing a World Top100 Golf Course.
Ganton is a fine example of a sandy links course with fine grasses, and we are looking for someone with an understanding and preferably experience in this type of agronomy and course management.
Reporting to the Managing Secretary & Chair of Green, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading, motivating and coaching a team of greenkeepers, budgetary control and to take ownership of delivering the highest standards of presentation of the Championship 18-hole course, practice facilities and general amenity areas. A new green keeping compound, an extension to the irrigation system, and a new fleet of machinery will be in place.
This is a permanent full-time salaried position with the actual hours worked to be agreed upon appointment, with weekend work included. Salary is negotiable upon appointment, in line with experience and industry standards.
