Salary circa £26,000 dependent on qualifications and experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the greenkeeping team at West Byfleet Golf Club. Founded in 1906, the Club has invested heavily over a number of years on the course and this winter will undertake the third of a five phased Course Review program. The Course Review was carried out by Mackenzie and Ebert, who carry out the same role for 7 Open Championship venues, including Royal Portrush who hosted the 2019 event.
All construction work is carried out in house, making this an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain invaluable experience in construction projects in addition to all other greenkeeping activities.
The ideal candidate will have the following;
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years greenkeeping experience.
- Will play & have an interest in the game of golf.
The following qualifications would also be beneficial though not essential;
- Spraying certificates PA1, PA2 & PA6
- Chainsaw license CS30,31,32
- 360 Excavator licence
- 1st Aid
The successful candidate will be paid a salary of circa £26,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus pension contributions, club gratuity fund and paid overtime for working Sunday mornings.
