An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Greenkeeper/Mechanic.
Turfgrass agronomy & service is looking to recruit an assistant greenkeeper/mechanic for a 9-hole newly built golf course located in Hertfordshire (30min from St Albans). He or she will maintain the equipment fleet and assist on the course when required.
An opportunity exists to join this forward-thinking team to help to maintain the machinery and further develop the already high standard of the golf course.
Reporting to the Course Manager, the ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for machinery and greenkeeping and high personal standards. He/she will report directly to the Course Manager and his Deputy.
The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Ordering and managing stock
- General maintenance
- Changing bearings
- Fault detection
- Put the unit on cut/change height of cut
- Greenkeeping duties
- Health and Safety knowledge
Salary will be based on skill level and experience.
The Club has a modern fleet of maintenance equipment and is continually investing in equipment and the course.
The position is full-time, with required weekend work on a rota basis.
