Plant biostimulants contain substance(s) and/or micro organisms whose function when applied to plants or the rhizosphere is to stimulate natural processes to enhance/benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient eficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress, and crop quality. This seminar will review research from European and global sources providing evidence on how alkyl-terminated block copolymers commonly used to regulate and improve plant water balance. Furthermore, this can improve the eficiency of the plant’s metabolism, increase plant tolerance to and recovery from abiotic stresses, facilitate nutrient assimilation, translocation and use, and enhance certain physicochemical properties of the soil.
