ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship

The ICL Continue to Learn Scholars 2018 are:

Daniel Ashelby - Wilmslow Golf Club - Assistant Greenkeeper

Michael Barnard - Royal Automobile Club - Junior Assistant

Philip Billinghurst - Woburn Golf Club - Assistant Greenkeeper

Michael Hughes - Scotscraig Golf Club - Deputy Course Manager

Simon Pyett - Halesworth Golf Club - Greenkeeper

BIGGA in conjunction with ICL have developed a scholarship opportunity for BIGGA Members.

The ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship offers five BIGGA members the opportunity to attend the Continue to Learn at BTME education programme. The scholarship, worth approximately £500, comprises three nights hotel accommodation and a 15-hour education bundle.

How to apply:

  • Applications can only be made through the online scholarship application
  • Members can nominate themselves for the Award

The criteria:

  • Applicant must be a BIGGA member from one of the following membership categories:

~ Full Member - categories 1A or 1B
~ Assistant Greenkeeper (in training) - categories 2A, 2B

  • Applicants should be CPD Active

  • Applicants should be able to attend BTME and Continue to Learn 2018 (21-24 January 2018)
  • Successful applicants will be expected to meet the cost of their travel, meals and any other personal expenses

The selection process:

  • A panel, made up of representatives from BIGGA and ICL will review all applications and will select the recipients of the five scholarships
  • Successful applicants will be advised in October 2017

Applications for the ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship 2019 will open on August 2018.
