The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) is a non-profit making professional association providing structured education and certification programmes for members involved in the management of sports clubs (golf, tennis, sailing and other sports), health & fitness clubs, leisure, city and dining clubs located throughout Europe.

The CMAE’s Management Development Programme is a series of 5 day residential courses designed not only for those working as club general managers, club secretaries and in other senior positions at sports, city and business clubs today, but also for those who aspire to these roles in the future.

Whether you are a student leaving university seeking a career in club management, an existing club manager seeking to improve your knowledge and skills, or an established business manager seeking a new challenge in the club industry, the CMAE Management Development Programme is for you.

For those club managers on the education pathway CMAE offers two levels of certification - the Club Management Diploma (CMDip) and the globally-recognised Certified Club Manager (CCM).

Management training is a key issue in any organisation. BIGGA's agreement with the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) gives BIGGA members certain privileges. These include access to CMAE courses and workshops at preferential rates and also CPD credits for relevant BIGGA education for those wishing to study for the CMAE's Certified Club Manager qualification.
