Aberdovey Golf Club is a classic links situated on the Dyfi estuary, and is one of Wales’ premier golfing tests. Golf has been played over the links since 1892 and the layout boasts design influences from Herbert Fowler, Harry Colt and James Braid. The links was a great favourite of writer and historian Bernard Darwin and the course is inextricably linked with the development of golf in Wales. It is voted regularly as one of the top three venues in the country.
The club is seeking to recruit a dynamic individual who has the drive and ambition to further improve Aberdovey’s sustainable excellence and deliver the best possible links experience for the club’s members and their guests.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high levels of management skills, communication and leadership and will have the practical knowledge and expertise to motivate a green keeping team in a hands on role.
Relevant green keeping qualifications to a minimum of NVQ 3 are required for this role together with relevant spraying qualifications (PA1, PA2, PA6), a working knowledge of machinery, irrigation systems and up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
Links experience is preferred although not essential for application.
