You can join Rory McIlroy in Northern Ireland this summer

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation will return to Northern Island this year, and BIGGA members are being invited to help ensure the event is a success.

Founded in 1894 and long considered one of the country’s finest links courses, Portstewart will be staging a European Tour event for the first time, when tournament host Rory McIlroy defends his title there this summer.

Rory McIlroy described Portstewart as “an excellent links course and one of Northern Ireland’s hidden gems”.

Volunteers are required for the event from 26 June to 10 July 2017. The main event is from 6 – 9 July.

Volunteer application forms can be obtained by emailing carly@portstewartgc.co.uk

The closing date for applications is 28 February.
