Greenkeepers Port to Port Charity Challenge in aid of Help the Heroes

Four greenkeepers, Stuart Yarwood (Lymm Golf Club), Eddie Ainsworth (Avro Golf Club, Tim Johnson (Wilmslow GC) and Gordon Irvine plus two non greenkeepers are walking approximately 130 miles from Albert Dock, Liverpool to the port at Hull in aid of Help the Heroes, but here’s the twist they are going to be pushing hand mowers the whole way!

Stuart joked, “I'm hoping we won't be like bent grass at 2mm.... We take it for a while, then wither and die!”

The challenge starts from Albert Dock this Friday 24th August and the guys are hoping to reach the port at Hull by Monday 27th August. All money raised is going towards Help the Heroes. If you wish to support the guys and are wanting to donate click here for a link to the donation page.
