Browning leads BIGGA National Championship 2012 overnight

Oly Browning of Stocks Golf Club is the overnight leader of the 2012 BIGGA National Championship sponsored by Charterhouse and Kubota.

Browning hit a par round of 71 amid the spectacular surroundings of Irvine Bogside in Scotland, taking a two-shot lead over Gary Burgess (Grange Park) and George Morgan (The Oaks).

Earlier, Ryan Binns from Roundwood Golf Club near Rotherham had the honour of striking the first drive on a cool but beautifully sunny October morning. 67 players from across the country are battling it out for the title - keep an eye on the BIGGA website for updates as the tournament progresses.
