BBC golf correspondent to join GCMA conference

BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter will open the GCMA 2017 Conference, where golf club managers, volunteers and industry professionals from across the UK and Europe will get together in November.

Non-members of the association are welcome at the conference, which is taking place at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge and will include networking opportunities alongside an educational programme of keynote and breakout sessions.

The BBC's Iain Carter will discuss his views on the golf industry and tell some tales from the tours, alongside Paul Armitage, who'll give an insight into preparations for the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Throughout the conference a number of industry leaders will discuss their visions for the future, including chief executive of the R&A Martin Slumbers, BIGGA chief executive Jim Croxton, Nick Pink of England Golf, and Rob Maxfield of the PGA.
